There is no private entrance and it's a shared bathroom which hasn't been an issue for over 100 guests but if you're over the top on privacy my place isn't for you. Guest access I do have a washer and dryer available, I also have an additional spare room you're welcome to utilize if needed. For storage or even yoga if you please. The dining table seats 4 comfortably but the kitchen is in next room and seats 4 also. Stove, two ovens, microwave, toaster oven , full size updated refrigerator, garbage disposer and all the main items you need to cook full meals. Coffee maker and all dinner plates/glassware etc needed. Full bath with shower downstairs. Master Bedroom with queen bed on main level. Going back to the front door you will find the stairs(carpeted and slightly steep)as you reach second level there are two twin size beds in one bedroom and a king in other with a toilet and sink nestled in. Gas heat and central air The home has never been smoked in or had pets and you will find this home very clean. The large back yard has a wrought iron table and chairs and room for a game of Croquet(available upon request). Relax on the front porch like our family has for years and watch the locals go by. the Residents on either side of our home have been long time Brownsville residence and take pride in their homes. We have Bald Eagles in the area so bring your binoculars. Lots to go do in the area. There are many golf courses in the area, visit WhiteWater Memorial State Park, Quakertown or Mounds State Park which is Brookville Lake, lots of fishing( and boating, beach, hiking. Zip lines, horseback riding, canoeing, Tennis courts at the Libertys high school. Pickle ball court just across street and surrounding counties have courts as well. Visit our local Historical Depot the Liberty folk saved and restored. We have the famous J's Dairy Inn a generation spot that loves the fried chicken or a famous J-boy. Our courthouse square comes alive during 4th of July, and other months with activities. Our area is known for many cyclist foot powered or motorized! Visit Famous Kents Harbor and eat at Ainsleys Café on the Brookville Lake! but be sure to stop in at Jay's Midlake Bait and food shop! GREAT smoked pulled pork to perfection, and yummy cold milkshakes! Indoor seating/deck/or out in the yard (seasonal business). The main building houses a couple of pool tables, restrooms, laundry and plenty of books to read. 24 hour WiFi is on in the lounge. Within the building you will find the office/store. Also be sure to note the nostalgic decorations in the lounge. Boomers for sure will get a kick out of the collection. Ice, propane and firewood are available for purchase. Scott personally delivered our firewood to our site and even threw in a pile of kindling which enabled an easy fire start. (The s’mores were great as usual!)

Park at the entrance, just feet from the door. No stairs to climb. Walk into the courtyard and feel the grass on your feet. There is one bedroom in this apartment and it has a door for privacy. The couch is a leather lazyboy and it pulls out to make a second bed. IF additional space is needed, a mattress or cot can be placed for your needs. Just ask. The kitchen is equipped with basic utensils. There are pots and pans, bowls, dinner ware, drinking glasses, and more.

A rear deck overlooks woods and pasture and depending on the time of year you may hear our small creek rushing at the bottom of the hill or drop a line off the floating deck of our farm pond. It is located on our farm and our home is next door. Please see photos. When guest are here we try to remain invisible around the property. Basically we give the hot tub, fire pit and surrounding yard over to our guests and you may also fish in our pond so bring your poles. Again our attempt is provide a relaxing country cabin retreat. Also due to our property and our home being hit by a tornado in April 2020 there are some repairs going on to my home and some clearing of trees in the front of the property, not near the cabin. We lost about 25 trees that were over 125 feet tall, quite a clean up job that we are still working on. Unfortunately it is not the pretty site it was when you enter our drive. We were in the process of finishing landscaping behind the cabin also when this happened and because of the extremely wet Spring we have not been able to complete that project as of yet. The hillside pathway/road leading to the creek is very muddy right now, again planned repairs with a bulldozer and clearing of some additional trails has been stalled during this rainy season, however you can still walk down to the creek and hike up to the cross. There are signs posted. Please don't wander too far as we only have 10 acres which sounds like alot but you will soon cross over to neighbors property. Queen Anne Victorian property built in 1898 by Charles Davis, then the President of the Davis Table Co. at the height of fine furniture manufacturing in the late 1800's. Mr. Davis spared no cost in building this lavish property & personally hand-picked all of the mahogany in South America, shipped back to his factory in Shelbyville, where his master craftsmen refined for use throughout the home. Fine green onyx slabs adorn the parlor fireplace which Mr. Davis had imported from Russia in 1898. All of the original gas chandeliers & sconces are still present in the home (most converted to electric). After a decade of restoration the property has now been fully restored to it's original beauty & kitchen updated to an executive level kitchen with modern amenities. The formal dining room still has the original 12' lion claw dining table, chairs, & built-in buffet which were all hand carved & are original to the home. All stain glass windows are original to the home & have somehow survived for 120 years nearly in mint condition. Hard wood floors throughout the home, 2 staircases (back staircase was used by the servant(s) along with a back living area of the home. The original (once plumbing was installed) sinks & claw foot tub has been fully restored & are once again in use today. As you can imagine owning the largest furniture factory of the time allowed Mr. Davis to leverage every available resource when constructing the home - & no amount of money was spared. In the 1920’s the compound became home to Brigadier General DW Deprez & family & remained in the Deprez family for the next 60 years. This two story home in the Downtown Historic District of Muncie has loads of space to accomodate families or people wanting to experience a unique historic home. It is 5 minutes from Ball State’s campus and walking distance to Elm Street Brewery/Restaurant and The Guardian Brewery and a minutes drive from bars, restaurants and theatres downtown. There are two main bedrooms upstairs. There is a small bedroom off the Dark blue bedroom that has two twin beds. Please note that the only way to access that bedroom is through the dark blue bedroom. Downstairs, the front room has a canopied 3/4 daybed which could sleep 2 smaller people and a twin trundle bed underneath. This room is not private but is it’s own room aside from the main living space. There is a downstairs full bath with washer and dryer for your use. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, blender, mixer, toaster, microwave, Krups coffee machine and a French press for coffee aficionados. The dining room has a table that, with the leaf, seats 8 in very comfortable chairs for entertaining. There are TV’s in both upstairs bedrooms with queen beds. The downstairs TV is a smart TV and in the same room there is a Record player/radio/Bluetooth speaker system for your use. The air-conditioning is window units. Each upstairs bedroom has it's own air-conditioning unit and fans. There is one unit for the whole downstairs. The house keeps pretty cool on it's own but we have added these units for your comfort. Also, I do have two yoga mats for anyone wishing to keep up their practice while traveling.

All surfaces are disinfected between guests, and our professional cleaning team lets the cleaning solution stand for 3-5 minutes to ensure all germs are killed. We wash all of the towels and linens with hot water between guests and give guests separate cleaned hand towels. Enjoy the sunrise over the pond from the 12'x30' deck, or the animals grazing to the south. The Farm Stay is entertainment central boasting of a large open living room/full kitchen with a wood pellet stove for your enjoyment on those cold winter nights! Not to mention catch&release fishing, corn hole, tetherball, volleyball, building a bonfire, or grilling out! Ask about our homegrown ground beef! The space All of the recreational amenities are visible from the house and furnished deck. You may find the sporting equipment and chairs for the fire pit conveniently located in the storage room on the main level just past the steps leading to the apartment. Guest access Waters Edge Racing Stables boast of the 2 Bedroom home above the stables. Incredible views in all directions including the 1.5 acre stocked pond. Two flights of steps lead you to the entry door with a lit key pad for your convenience. Please park on the dedicated gravel drive directly in front of the steps leading to the apartment. Do not park on or block the driveway leading to the back of the barn or behind the barn.
